Rhonda Parker saw a need. She observed that many Mulvane School youth were going to school without proper coats, hats and mittens to keep them warm on cold winter mornings. After visiting with elementary school counselors, she also became aware that several Mulvane students were in need of eye and dental exams unaffordable by their parents. Others were not able to get necessary nutrition because o
f a lack of enough food at home. A local group should be organized to raise funds for these children. After visiting with local school administrators and doing the necessary paperwork to organize a non-profit organization, the Mulvane Children's Fund was born in the fall of 2004. The fund is now fully operational and provides funds for each of the Mulvane schools. Needs are identified by local school counselors and funds distributed according to guidelines. If you are interested in volunteering for an event, please let us know! Donations can be made with a board member or at Carson Bank, the Mulvane Children's Fund account.
