Here is the latest beautiful art created by students at Clarkes Elementary. It is a mural installed in the fantastic school library, using tiles made by ARTWARE using each child's piece of art. Each class had a different book read to them, and their art reflected something for that book. Funds used were from Clarkes Music and Arts Education as well as Beavercreek Cooperative telephone. Thank you to everyone who helped create this mural.

Reminder to still donate your bottles and cans to Music & Arts Education by picking up the green bags from the Clarkes office, fill them with refundable bottles/cans and drop them off at the Bottle Redemption Center located on 14214 Fir Street Suite A & B, Oregon City, OR 97045. Note: There is a limit of 2 bags per day.

BCT is sponsoring Five Guys Burgers & Fries donating 15% of your purchase to local non-profits including Clarkes Music & Arts! Just bring the Five Guys Flyer sent home with your child to the Oregon City location on Sept. 18th from 12:00 to 9:00 pm and present it to the cashier when ordering.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Krage our new music teacher this year! She will be teaching two classes a week per grade. The Clarkes Elementary Music and Arts group will be meeting every 3rd school monday of the month in the Clarkes Elementary Library at 6:30 pm. Please join us as we plan for another year filled with wonderful music and art experiences. We will be planning the auction and new artist in residence projects. We welcome any ideas you may have and we are always looking for volunteer help especially during auction time. We hope to see you there!

A BIG THANK YOU to ALL the parents and Grandparents and Clarkes kids, Middle School BETA club members, staff members Mike Bloom, Becky Pike, Randee Onion, Annette Delbridge, Bjorn Merten, April Pryzbek, Michael Nickless who volunteered to help make the 6th Annual Auction a big and fun success! Thank you, also, to the Clarkes Grange for preparing such yummy Spaghetti, with the help of Coleman Ranch beef, and to Beavercreek Telephone Cooperative, Connect Plumbing, Back40 Tatoo, Ben Muffett Forestry, and Tic’s Smokehouse for sponsoring the auction. And last, but not least, all the wonderful community members who participated, bid on items, bought quilt raffle tickets, helping us provide great music, dance, art, and performing arts experiences for Clarkes School students. The winner of the “Hearts for the Arts” quilt was Sue Rasmussen, a community member who has lived in the area for over 30 years and is a member of the local Garden Club. She was thrilled!

Hey, folks! We could use more volunteers to serve spaghetti dinner from 5:00-7:00p.m. on April 12th . we have 8 people, but need 4 more so there can be shifts, so people can be freed up to go look at auction items. We also could use more help setting up the gym from 11:00-3:00 on Saturday. Lots of work to be done. More hands makes the work light!!!! Please contact Barbara Steltz if you are willing to help. Win this beautiful and adorable handmade "Hearts For The Arts" quilt by buying raffle tickets $5.00 per ticket or 5 for $20.00. Hearts drawn by 1st and 2nd graders. All proceeds go towards music, art and performing arts experiences for students. Quilt is displayed in Clarkes School office. Tickets can be gotten at the school, or at the Spaghetti Dinner and Auction on April 12th. Quilt will be raffled off that night. Need not be present to win. However, the auction will have some mighty fine items for sale, including a lot of children's art, gift certificates, Wilco items galore and too much more to list that you won't want to miss. Plus, the delicious Spaghetti dinner is made by Clarkes Grange members, and you don't want to miss out on that! Dinner is $6.00 per person, or $20 for a family of 4 or more. Come enjoy the fun!
