🚒 Calling All Soldiers Living Off Post Near Fort Knox! 🇺🇸

The Meade County Firefighters & Chiefs Association invites soldiers stationed at Fort Knox who live off post to consider joining their local Volunteer Fire Department.

Our volunteer departments proudly serve the communities surrounding Fort Knox, and we are always looking for dedicated individuals who want to give back and make a difference. Many of the skills you already possess through your military training—teamwork, leadership, discipline, and emergency response—translate directly to the fire service.

🔥 Why Join Your Local Volunteer Fire Department?

All training is provided at no cost

Most departments offer a per-run cash reimbursement

Gain valuable emergency response and leadership experience

Training and certifications can help prepare you for post-military career opportunities, including careers in fire service, EMS, emergency management, and public safety

Volunteer service may qualify you for the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM)

Serve and protect the community where you live

Whether you are new to the area or have been stationed here for years, becoming a volunteer firefighter is a great way to connect with the community, build additional skills, and continue serving beyond the gate.

🚨 Departments across Meade County are currently accepting new members. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to your local department or message the Meade County Firefighters & Chiefs Association for more information.

Continue the mission — serve your community at home.
