🧡 Every life matters. Every conversation matters.

Last year, 47,117 children ages 8–13 who completed Mental Health America’s online screening reported frequent thoughts of su***de. This is a powerful reminder of the importance of prioritizing youth mental health and ensuring every child feels seen, heard, and supported.

In recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10, members of the Norris team participated in the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention’s (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Walk to raise awareness, support su***de prevention research and education, and stand alongside those affected by su***de.

Together, we can break the stigma, build connections, and bring hope to those who need it most. 🧡

Bristlecone Charity is an organization dedicated to supporting disadvantaged youth in our community. For the past several years, they have generously supported Norris youth by providing bikes, fishing poles, and other recreational items that create opportunities for fun, connection, and positive experiences.

On September 29th, it was our turn to give back. Natalie Zanoni and Sonja Kania were honored to support Bristlecone Charity by attending their annual Fall Banquet and celebrating the meaningful work they do for youth in our community.

We are grateful for their continued generosity and commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people. It was a privilege to come together, show our support, and help ensure their important work continues.

For the fifth year, Norris welcomed 40+ second-year Master of Science in Counseling students from Mount Mary University to our Mukwonago campus for a day of connection and reflection through our Adventure Education Program.

Required for all second-year graduate students, the group participated in three different team building & self-reflection activities - high ropes course, low ropes course and an art therapy project.

The weather was beautiful, the energy was high and the team walked away with some memorable experiences as well as new tools & skills to carry into their future clinical roles!

October 1st means the official start of Spooky Season! 🎃👻 Bring on the costumes, pumpkins, haunted houses, and Halloween fun.

But October also carries a much more important reminder - Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💗It is estimated that by the end of 2026, 324,580 men and women will receive a new breast cancer diagnosis, and 42,670 will lose their lives to this terrible disease.

So as we turn October orange, make room for plenty of pink, too, and visit www.komen.org to learn about risk, risk factors, and how early detection can save lives . 🎃🩷

Susan G. Komen addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. Join our fight!
