A waterfront wave goodbye.

This morning, Mukilteo firefighters parked along the waterfront to send off our city's adopted Navy destroyer, the USS John Paul Jones, as she departed Everett.

It's been an honor to support the partnership between our city and the sailors who serve aboard her. Fair winds and following seas until we meet again. โš“

Just before 3:00 p.m., crews responded to a hazardous materials incident requiring a mutual aid response including Everett Fire Department, South County Fire, and Mukilteo Police Department.
One patient was transported to the hospital, and crews remained on scene for a few hours working to mitigate the hazard and ensure the area was safe.
Thank you to our mutual aid partners for their professionalism and teamwork.

From learning new skills to building confidence and connections, this event was all about opening doors and showing the next generation that they belong here too.
Thank you to all of the departments, instructors, and students who made the day such a success. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
