🌟 Quality of Place | Leadership Snohomish County 🌟

What an incredible day with the Leadership Snohomish County Class of 2026–27! We spent the day at the beautiful Hibulb Cultural Center exploring what truly makes a community a Quality of Place—culture, connection, belonging, the arts, equity, and opportunities for everyone to thrive.

We were honored to learn from so many incredible community voices through the Mattering & Belonging Panel, featuring Gul Subaykan, Abigail Cooley, Bobby Kubacki, and Yvonne Terrell Powell, followed by the Arts & Culture in Community Panel with Peter Condyles, Emmy Fansler, and Corey Margolis. We also heard from Andrew Davis about the great work happening at the Puget Sound Public Farms!

A huge THANK YOU to Scapa BBQ for providing lunch and helping make our day extra special! ❤️ Your support and generosity are truly appreciated!

Grateful for the conversations, connections, and lessons we get to take with us as we continue growing as community leaders. 💙

🌟 Leadership Snohomish — Days 1 & 2 Retreat Recap

What an incredible start to the Leadership Snohomish 2026–2027 journey! 🎓✨

Our first two days were filled with connection, collaboration, learning, reflection, and lots of laughter as we officially began getting to know one another and building our cohort.

Day One was all about making connections and learning more about the incredible people in our class. We participated in our Commonality Circle, explored our stories and values, and had fun with Playing with Power, using body sculptures within groups to creatively explore leadership, communication, and collaboration. 🤝🎭

We were also introduced to the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) and how personal growth and self-awareness play an important role in leadership. 🌱

🍴 A special thank you to La Loncherita for providing us with a wonderful lunch on Day One at the beautiful Blue Heron Room at the Port of Everett! 🌮

Day Two continued with more learning, connection, and opportunities to grow together as leaders. We are already seeing the unique experiences and perspectives each member brings to our class.

A huge THANK YOU to Tapped Mukilteo for lunch on Day Two! Your generosity helped make our retreat even more special. 🙌

It was a full day of getting things ready for our Signature Program Kick-off, hearing from not one but two SnoCo mayors (Cassie Franklin of Everett and Jon Nehring of Marysville) while hanging out with awesome LSC alumni (and FUTURE alumni), and even a mechanical bull to celebrate Largo Tents turning 5 years old! An amazing day of community that has me super pumped for what is yet to come this week!
