Flower Sale – Perfect for Mother’s Day!

Shelby Extension Foundation is hosting a Flower Sale this Saturday, May 9, from 9–11 a.m. in the Shelby County Extension Office parking lot.

Just one more week to get the donations in for the Shelby County AC! Christa and Kay will be taking the items that were donated on Wednesday the 17th. They will start to head over at 12.

If you have items that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at Ayars Bank in Moweaqua to Christa or you can call or text her at 217-521-5806 and she will come and pick them up!

On today’s Episode of The Cloverbud Meeting we dissected Owl Pellets!

What did the kiddos learn?

These pellets came all the way from Washington State.

That dissecting owl pellets are a form of Animal sience to see what they are eating.

Also that owl pellets are a big hair ball that is regurgitated.

They found leg bones, ribs, teeth, and some kids found upwards of 5 skulls! Ranging from tiny mice to big moles, which they were able to identify with thier bones identification chart. It was very fun to see them hold the bones up and match them to the pictures.

This will definitely be something that will be carried on to the following years!

And I do believe the parents had as much fun as the kids did!

We had around 25 kids from Moweaqua Rustlers - Cloverbuds Moweaqua Rustlers 4-H Club and Rural Feeders 4-H Club joins us in the CAM Homecoming Parade. It was an absolute joy to watch them get excited to see everyone out in the crowds.

Moweaqua Rustlers 4-H Club and Moweaqua Rustlers - Cloverbuds are putting together a pet drive. All donations will go to Shelby County Animal Control. For right now until I get some drop locations secured i will have then dripped off at my house or i can come and pick up. We plan on taking them to the Shelter on December 17th.

We had a GREAT first meeting!!!! So many kiddos! They are definitely going to keep me on my toes. Lots of bright smiling faces!
