A VERY belated Happy New Year!!!! 🎉

We want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed in some way (donation, Mother’s Day Flower Sale purchase…) to our cause during 2021. Providing our hardworking school horses with a place to retire is extremely important to all at Watchung Stables. Your interest in and support for this organization are very much appreciated!!!!

Although we don’t currently have any horses ready for finer pastures, Our fundraising efforts are ongoing throughout the year. Donations may be mailed to/dropped off at the Watchung Stables office at 1160 Summit Lane in Mountainside.

We will, again, hold our Annual Mother’s Day Plant sale later this Spring. Look for details here or at the stables in the early part of April!!

Looking forward to warmer weather 🐴🌞🌺…..

FOR SALE - $2,000 AS IS
Proceeds go towards the retirement of our School horses 😀

1989 Philips 2 horse straight load with ramp. Full size walk through doors on both sides. No dressing room.

Room in the front for storage.

Trailer is steel over a steel frame. It has a 2 inch coupler.

Has surface rust. Boards are good. Needs mats replaced.

Needs 4 tires. Has a spare to change the one flat that does not hold air.

Has brakes and lights. Some lights need to be replaced. Wheels are free and turn.

Trailer has been parked for several years, and has only moved occasionally.

Needs to be serviced and checked out. Underside looks good with only minor surface rust that we see.

Price is firm. AS IS. GVWR is 7000 lbs. Axles are 3500lbs each.

Decals as shown in photos may or may not be removed prior to sale.

Plate will be removed at time of sale. Registration is not current.

Clear and clean New Jersey title in hand. Bill of sale will also be provided.

Happy was moved to Ryerss farm on Monday!!!! The staff there say he is settling in nicely!!! Here are some pictures from his move and of a couple of our horses who are already there.

The Mother's Day Plant and Flower Sale to benefit SHOW (School Horses of Watchung Retirement Program) is starting at Watchung Stable.

As you know, sending a horse to a retirement facility, such as Ryerss, is expensive. Sending Happy there will cost $9,500 for a spot plus another $400-$500 for vet, farrier, dentist, and trailer expenses.

Our annual plant & flower sale is our big fundraiser for the year. If you live near Watchung Stable and you plan on buying flowers or plants for Mother's Day or just to spruce up your garden, it would be greatly appreciated if you could buy them from SHOW. You'll be getting beautiful plants and supporting a great cause. 100% of the proceeds from our flower sale goes directly to the SHOW retirement program.

The attached picture is the order form for the Flower Sale. If you want to buy flowers and plants from SHOW, just print the picture, fill in the form, and mail it, along with your payment (check made payable to SHOW) to:

You can also just drop off your order in the main office at the stable. Last day to get your orders in is April 27, and orders can be picked up at the stable:

Thursday-Friday, May 6 & 7 from 3:00PM-6:00PM, and
Saturday, May 8 from 9:30AM-12:30PM

If you don't want flowers but would like to help out SHOW, we're always accepting donations. You can mail a check (payable to SHOW) to the above address. Put 'Donation' on the memo line. Your donation is tax deductible.

If you want to order flowers or plants, but can't print the picture, just send an email to [email protected], and a pdf file will be sent to your email address. If you want flowers but can't come during the scheduled pickup times, email us and arrangements can be made for you to pick up your flowers.

Good Afternoon,

SHOW is pleased to announce that we are retiring another school horse. Many of you know and love him, his name is Happy. Happy is a 30 year old draft/cross horse and has been with our Troop program for 12 years. In a few weeks, he'll be going to Ryerss Farm for Aged Equines in Pottstown, PA. He'll be joining 4 other horses from Watchung Stable - Niles, Buddy, Tax Cut and Jax .

The cost to retire Happy at Ryerss is approximately $10,000. If you'd like to contribute to his retirement, you can drop off a check at the main office or send it to:
