Friday night when we were leaving the office we noticed the welding on the East side gate arm was broken. We are incredibly grateful to our Board Chairman, Felipe Lovato and our Board Vice-Chairman for taking time out of their busy schedules to fix our gate today. We are so fortunate to have Board Members who will help us out when we need them. THANK YOU! Felipe and David the gate looks great!

Claunch-Pinto SWCD gives a big shout out to these men and women who are working the Deer Canyon Fire. Some of these people had just been released from the Bear Fire at Datil and headed home when they received the call to come to the Deer Canyon Fire. What a day! I have to say THANK YOU to Eric, Ferranti Natural Resources, the four men from the Ramah Natural Resource Department, and Manuel from Claunch-Pinto SWCD who spent a portion of their Father’s Day moving equipment and personal items from our shop, so we could get things set up for a base camp for the Deer Canyon fire crews. I appreciate all of you! HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!! I purchased trash cans and got them set up at the hand washing stations. I also made sure the extra food provided by State Forestry at lunch was dispersed and hopefully eaten. Just another day at Claunch-Pinto SWCD!! Have a WONDERFUL week!!!!
