One of our nesting loon pairs has returned! As we approach nicer weather and are getting ready for summer, please keep an eye out for our returning loons. Please also remember to keep your distance if you spot them on their nest!

Snowmobile Trails Update:

With snow in the forecast, we know you're wondering: will the snowmobile trails reopen?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The 2025–2026 snowmobile season has officially closed. Many trails have no remaining base and with open water across the county, it's not safe or feasible to reopen for the season.

We know how much snowmobiling fuels our communities here in Oconto County and look forward to next winter.
