The first project is The Guardian Project. It aims to increase the number of owls in Burrowing Owl Billows, Shoreline Park, CA.

We made it to the end! Yeah, yeah. I’ll explain why I edited that word into that other video. This ending is rather fitting, actually, in regards to how I was treated (that you missed). I also recorded a vlog right after I dismounted, but I can’t remember if I also deleted it. I was really disappointed that I’d put all this effort and energy into this, risking my life, actually, and didn’t connect with almost anyone. I just gave it all out for free, as community service, and no one cared. Well, they cared, but not to know me, or help with the plight of our animals. 😔🦋👸 #808

All this hustling for what?! I’m people pleasing too much that they’re just walking all over me even though I tower above them. The planet’s dying here, people. You either buy my stickers (OR JUST DONATE) or we degrade past this point of pleasantries into cannibalistic chaos. Wouldn’t you rather help the beautiful fairy than wait till it gets THAT bad? 🤨

I’m pretty cursory going over the issues here, but the idea of educating people on stilts isn’t just to have a roaming, interactive soapbox/sign/shop combo, but to also keep conversations flowing because I can only stay up for so long. I actually didn’t do a great job here, and cut out a lot of their talking, which you can hardly hear in the recording anyway, but also they were off on their own meandering tangents, when I’m on a mission and trying to recruit! I should’ve turned the conversation back to what does work to increase populations. Even the editing process helps me retrospect how I’ll develop my approach for the next time I fly. 🦋

I just added my new to my fundraising Etsy! It took MONTHS to complete this illustration and design from photos and videos I took of the penguins last year while I was working for the Hyatt caring for them. My back injury makes sitting and standing excruciating, but I wanted to capture each penguin’s unique qualities so you can identify them from the sticker. We’ve got Phoenix, Kennedy, Elvis, Kumquat, Momi, Tai, and Kukui! These critically endangered suffer Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa from the climate that is too hot for how they’ve evolved. If you catch them panting between the hours of 3-9pm, please take a video of them doing so and leave a review with the Hyatt and send me a copy so I can collect more evidence to build the case to save them! #808

This is my new orientation video to share with volunteers on The Guardian Project the day before their event. Would you be stoked to volunteer if this is the video you saw before your event? I’m already thinking about my next revision because I didn’t include how bad the harassment from the photographers has become in this and I’m not a fan of how frumpy my outfit is. 😤
