Stone County Extension Homemakers Council Stone County Extension Homemakers Council is apart of the Ozark District of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Council.

Stone County Extension Homemakers Club is part of the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Club. AEHC is celebrating it's 110th year in 2022. Stone County Extension Homemakers Council has been active since 1917. We currently have 2 clubs, the Luber Signal Hill and Redbuds.

The Redbud EH Club of Stone County is thrilled to be able to send 30 shoes boxes to Operation Christmas Child. We had a lot of fun purchasing items & putting the boxes together. Cassie Ashley (Redbud VP), Marie Hulsey (leader of the project for the club) & Doris Hamilton took the boxes this morning to the First Baptist Church for drop off.

Its the time of the year for the Extension Homemakers Club Annual Quilt Show at the Ozark Folk Visitor Center during the Bean Fest, October 24-25. (Drop off will be on Thursday)

We would love to fill up the Visitor Center of the Ozark Folk Center with beautiful quilts. If you have quilts you have made, received as a gift, inherited from family or purchased (NOT commercially made) we would be honored to display and show it off!!

ANYONE can bring their quilts to show them. Quilts can be dropped off at the Visitor Center Thur. Oct 23 from 9-5. We always need quilts to show so come and be part of a great tradition!

The Redbud EH Club have been gathering toiletry items for the kids at Timbo & Rural Special Schools. We put together 26 bags geared towards boys and 36 bags geared towards girls. Bags (which were made by our members) were distributed evenly.

It was an honor & a joy to be able to do this for the kids!!

Laura Grutz & Dr. Brittney Schrick with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service will be leading a Mental Health 1st Aid Training on August 5th at the First United Methodist Church (sunday school room)on Jefferson Street in Mountain View from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The training is free to attend with lunch graciously sponsored by the Stone County Extension Homemakers Council. Attendance is limited and registration is required. Please contact the Stone County Extension Office to register by August 1st.

Those attending will learn: common signs of mental health & substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis, how to connect someone to further help, & ways to take care of their own mental health.
