Giving Tuesday is an annual event that helps remind us all to look for opportunities to share our resources with deserving projects and organizations!
Please consider donating to a local organization or charity to make a difference in YOUR community!

❤️Happy Giving Tuesday!

Unrestricted gifts — which a nonprofit may use in a number of ways to accomplish its mission — are the most flexible donations to give on Giving Tuesday (or at any point during the year!)

Are you interested in recognizing the history in your rural community? Apply for the Grants in Place Fellows program! https://submit.jotform.com/232125089538156

As inspiration, Amy Sampson’s 2022-23 Grants in Place Fellow project idea stemmed from her students desire to preserve the history of their community. Amy and her students created historical markers for significant locations throughout their town including the Trail of Tears, how Monett, MO was once the strawberry capital of the world and an aviation hotbed just a few years after Kitty Hawk. Amy’s students researched and wrote the signs, then collaborated with local historians to edit and fact check. Amy and her student’s were even featured on their local news during their project, check it out here: https://www.ky3.com/2023/03/30/preserving-history-monett-students-design-31-historical-markers/
