Marie’s Heart Serving elderly residents currently residing in Long-Term Care Facilities in Arkansas. There once was a woman of great merit and worth. It was absolute.

As she lived, she served, giving unto others all she had to give... neither wanting nor expecting in return. And as she lived, a true love and kindness encompassed her as she gave of herself unto others. For her charity knew no strangers, no limits and no boundaries. For I have chanced by no other in this life more deserving than her to have heard spoken these words from the lips of our precious S

avior than.... "Well done thou good and faithful servant." May her life be a testament to those of us that remain... to be the hands and feet of Jesus, thereby embodying Marie's Heart, in all we are blessed to do. In Loving Memory

1918-2009

Marie's Heart is a charity organization created in honor of Marie Martin's service and dedication to caring for the elderly throughout her life. She also humbly served her church community with a passion and dedication that shined bright her great love for Jesus. We would like to continue in her honor, her service and her love for the elderly in our surrounding communities. We have partnered with local long-term care facilities to deliver monthly care baskets to residents that may not have any family, or residents that may just need a little kindness to brighten their day. We would love to be able to expand into as many long-term care facilities as we can. With support from our local communities anything is possible! If anyone would like to donate items for our baskets or make a monetary donation please reach out to us! Let's stand together and show our elderly that they are loved and are not forgotten! Or if any local families or churches would be interested in making their own care baskets for donation we will be happy to pick and deliver to those in need. Please see list of items that may be donated:
-Any size baskets
-Socks (White socks preferred for men due to names being able to be written on them)
-Slippers/House shoes
-Pajamas (Male and Female)
-White Tshirts (Male)
-Lap Throws/Blankets
-Lotion (Male and Female)
-Combs/Hairbrushes
-Hair ties/Barrettes/Headbands
-Deodorant (Male and Female)
-Handkerchiefs
-Small tabletop decor items, small flower arrangements or small wall hangings
-Crossword puzzle/Wordsearch books
-Colored Pencils
-Stuffed animals
-Small flower bouquets
-Seasonal decor items (small seasonal wreaths for doors, seasonal tabletop decor etc.) We try to do seasonal baskets such as 4th of July, Valentines, Thanksgiving, Easter. She didn’t shy away or shrink back. She didn’t hesitate, or stand in the shadows watching. She didn’t ask “Do I have too?”

She was a blessing to us today. In the willingness to do something for another…happily, joyfully. To see her be kind and thoughtful and loving because in her heart she is all those things. To watch them bloom into acts of kindness makes my heart happy and I know Granny would be so proud of you Lily ❤️

When true compassion shines for others, so does Jesus ❤️

As we’ve traveled along, making our way through new territory, some special nursing students joined the journey alongside us. Compassion, kindness and a willingness to step in and step up for others, shines so brightly through them and we couldn’t be more proud of them ❤️

One of the students, after delivering some of the care baskets, said to me “Well that sure didn’t go how I expected it to!” (not in a bad way) 🤣 I laughed and thought, does life ever?

We don’t always see the forest for the trees. Sometimes we don’t always see the journey or enjoy the view because we’re so focused on the destination. And sometimes despite all the planning and preparing we do things don’t always turn out like we thought they would. But God has a way of using each step for His glory, for helping us see the beauty in the wrong turns, the blessings in doing the best we can when nothing seems to be going right, the joy in trusting Gods got it when we don’t. He uses our messy, our tired, our mistakes, our well thought out plans that fail, our effort, our generosity, our genuine hearts and He weaves it all together. He maneuvers each piece exactly where it needs to be! It all plays its part in the plan….in His plan.

And we keep walking by faith, not by sight 🙌🏼

This months memory basket is being donated in remebrance of a sweet and special lady…Ann Faye❤️We are honored to remember her and her life here on earth and the impact she made on all who knew her. Today, May 13th, would have been her earthly birthday so we wanted to share this here today❤️ She loved her family dearly especially her children and grandchildren. She had a kind and loving heart and always took care of others. She loved her flowers and gardening. She loved watching all the beautiful birds and loved reading her Bible. She loved her Lord and Savior and her life was a beautiful reminder of that ❤️ In her memory we have put together a basket that contains some of the things she loved here on earth. Her birds, her Bible, her flowers and her favorite color red 🥰 The book on angels donated for the basket by her daughter, belonged to Ann, and she hopes it brings peace and comfort to the one who receives it. May each of these things bring a smile, some joy and a reminder that they are never alone. We hope Ann’s memory continues to spread the love that she shared to all that knew her.
