ALS One Hope is a Non Profit Organization working closely with The ALS Association Philadelphia Chapter. ALS One Hope was created to honor the memory of Ken Malkemes, Jr. Kenny was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a brilliant civil engineer and loved to serve his community. One of his greatest loves was hiking the Appalachian Trail which he completed Augus

t 9, 2009 after 23 years. He started getting sick in September, 2009 with a drop foot and was diagnosed with ALS on March 27, 2012. Kenny passed away on April 14, 2016. ALS One Hope provides resources, medical equipment(not covered by medical insurance), holiday gift cards, etc. to support local families living with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Kenny lived his life to the fullest and faced every challenge with courage & fortitude. In doing so he has inspired us to do the same. We HOPE you will join us in raising awareness and supporting our fundraising events�
