Please visit Mountain House Library for the last book sale of the year on Saturday, October 27 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Fill a bag with used books for children or adults for just $5.00!

All proceeds from the sale of used books benefit the collections and programs of the Mountain House Branch Library. Hope to see you on Saturday!

Mountain House Friends of the Library will be hosting a used book sale and fundraiser on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 10am-5pm. The book sale includes books for all ages. It's a "buy a bag sale", so come on over and pack a bag full of your favorites for young and old alike. Menchies Yogurt will be sold that day at the MH Branch Library from 12-5pm.

Support the MH Friends of the Library, get some good deals on used books, and have a snack all at the same time! Your support of book and yogurt sales will provide funding for future Library programs.

MOUNTAIN HOUSE SENIORS have begun meeting at the MH Library trying to plan fun activities so they can get together and get to know each other. From the last two meetings many good ideas have been shared. Be looking for more news about events from MHCSD and the MH Library. We've been given a generous donation of items for our library mini-garage sale on Saturday. There are many items for infants & toddlers, including pacifiers, bottles, safety equipment, clothing etc. all in original packaging. There is also a selection of costumes for children, toys and puzzles. See picture for just a sampling of what is available, all at garage sale prices. Shop early, shop often, we will open the doors at 8:30 a.m.

"Think It Ink It - Comix 101"
FREE Teen Drawing Program led by Carlos Nieto III

Mountain House Branch Library
Tuesday, Feb. 21, 4:30 pm

Teens and Tweens...Wanna create your very own comic book? "Think It Ink It" will teach you to do just that! From writing to designing to drawing, every major aspect of the comic book process will be explored. You will choose what panel layouts you want to work with and through some simple thought exercises, you will start to unleash your imagination and create a masterpiece! "Think It Ink It" also covers Graphic Novels and zines. All materials are provided.

The class on February 21, 2017 at 4:30 pm is taught by Carlos Nieto III, a LA based artist who has worked as an artist on the Simpsons and King of the Hill.

The next regular meeting of the Mountain House Friends of the Library will be Wednesday, September 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mountain House Branch Library, 250 Main Street.

Branch Librarian Kathleen Buffleben will update the Friends on the current progress of plans for the permanent library, and we will finalize the logistics our November book sale.

Please join us and learn how you can help the Friends support the programs and services of the Mountain House Branch Library.
