Chloe is doing great but has a long road ahead of her! Thank you all so much for the donations!! Every dollar helps this family!!
For immediate release:
June 21st, Father’s Day, one of our most inspirational 12yo, Chloe, was involved in a UTV accident. She was camping with family and friends following the annual 5k Freedom for Fighters celebration.
She was life flighted to St Luke’s in Boise, stabilized, then flown to Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. She has been surrounded by family since the accident.
She has been recovering in PICU after an emergency surgery Sunday to fix a crush injury to her left hand. The surgical staff worked tirelessly for about 10 hours. Her fighting spirit is the heart and soul of FreedomforFighters. Through the beginning of her long road to recovery yet to come, she has set goals of talking to other kids at hospitals about the fear of surgery, coping with trauma, and focusing on small daily achievable goals. Her selflessness through all of this is an inspiration to us all. Even the amazing nursing staff has fought over who gets to work with her!
Please, keep Chloe in your prayers as she continues to fight each day and begins her long journey of recovery! She will have to have some “follow up” surgeries in the future but she is just taking it day by day. Thank you to all the friends and families who have shown their support and continue to do so!
With gas prices as high as they are it is costing them $150 just to be able to drive home and back to Salt Lake City! If you would like to help with gas it would be greatly appreciated! Please send all donations directly to venmo: @ LisaHanish or cashapp: $LisaHanish5
