Today, everyone enjoyed a fun day where club leaders brought an activity for the kids & their families to participate in. Shout out to the leaders of the T&C Clovers Club (sack races), Critter Club (egg& spoon races), Livestock Club (water relay), Shooting Sports Club (BB Gun, Air Rifle, & archery), Fine Arts Club (painted hands), STEM Club (mousetrap car races), & Cooking Club (trail mix) for helping make it a great day!

Buffalo River Float #2 is complete! We had some kids who had never floated before. They LOVED it! I love giving these new experiences to 4-Hers & their families. Again, all respect & HUGE thanks goes out to Buffalo River Float Service for being great to work with! They are so good to our 4-Hers. 🍀❤️

The 4-H Teen Leaders Club met tonight & played a game of Go Fish!

Why did they play Go Fish? This simple game teaches kids several leadership qualities:
✅Learn names of who they’re playing with
✅Learn what rejection feels like
✅Learn persistence after being rejected
✅Strategic planning
✅Use working memory
✅Lose gracefully
✅Win gracefully

All of these are real life skills that many kids don’t experience until adulthood & they are not prepared for it.

Thanks for the leadership lesson idea, Aaron Dinin, professor at Duke University! My 4-H kids loved it!

📍We'll meet at Buffalo River Float Service, 11637 AR-14, Yellville, AR 72687, then be shuttled to Spring Creek.
💵 Cost is $20 per boat.
‼️IF you're bringing your own kayak/canoe, we're leaving Spring Creek at 11am.
