Amy Lanning, Into the Light’s Assistant Development Director, celebrated another successful day of connecting with fellow service providers and raising awareness about the services offered by Into the Light and shares about her experience below!

About 15 additional staff members from Caring Hearts Pregnancy Resource Center gathered with Jennifer Cook of Shared Hope International and me to discuss human trafficking and the work being done to end trafficking and bring hope to survivors.

The staff’s excitement about Into the Light US T-shirts was contagious, and nearly everyone in attendance purchased one to support our mission!

After the event, I met with Heather McKim, an ITL board member, for a quick briefing and later joined one of ITL’s newest volunteers for lunch.

Outreach trips to Little Rock continue to be a true blessing as I partner with others in the effort to support vulnerable children and bring light into dark places.

Amy Lanning, Into the Light’s Assistant Developmemt Director, enjoyed a busy day in Little Rock today! Here is a recap of her experience:

Jennifer Cook of Shared Hope International and I joined the staff and volunteers at Caring Hearts Pregnancy Center to discuss critical factors in recognizing and preventing trafficking. We also shared the work Into the Light US does to support children and adults who have experienced trafficking.

We’re grateful for this opportunity and want to thank Caring Hearts and other pregnancy resource centers for being on the front lines of protecting vulnerable lives.

After stopping by our Little Rock office for a quick costume change, we joined the Bryant Rotary Club at Blue House Bakery and Cafe to hear Janet Dixon of New Beginnings Pregnancy Center share about their work supporting pregnancies and the early stages of parenthood. We’re looking forward to rejoining the Bryant Rotary Club in October to share more about the work being done to end child trafficking and support survivors.

To wrap up the day, I had the pleasure of dining with a mentor who has vast development experience . I’m immensly grateful not only for her mentorship in nonprofit development, but for her friendship as well.

Looking forward to another day of meaningful conversations and meetings tomorrow.
