A special thank you to our sweet donor, Nana. ❤️

Nana loves the mission of Gamma House and always has a way of showing up when there is a need.

I recently shared with her that something some of our ladies struggle with during recovery is their appearance and self-confidence. When you have spent 20 or 30 years in active addiction, taking care of yourself, your health, and even your skin often falls pretty far down the list.

As our ladies begin to heal, they also become more aware of the toll those years have taken. That can be hard. Recovery is about so much more than getting sober. It is learning how to care for yourself again, finding confidence again, and sometimes simply learning to like the woman looking back at you in the mirror.

Having a little makeup available may seem like such a small thing, but sometimes those small things can help a woman feel good about herself again.

Nana heard the need and, as she always does, showed up. Thank you, Nana, for loving our ladies and always showing up for Gamma House. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Y’all, look at all of this!

A HUGE thank you to Thrift and Flea & Kris Brahm, for these amazing donation for the ladies at Gamma House. So many beautiful clothes, shoes, and purses!

When our ladies need something for work, an interview, church, or just everyday life, having these items available makes such a difference. And sometimes, it’s simply nice to find something that makes you feel good when you put it on.

Thank you, Thrift & Flea Boutique & Kris for thinking of our ladies and sharing so generously with us. We are so thankful for our community and the way you continue to show up for Gamma House. ❤️

We have a new donation box at Gamma House! 🙌🙌🙌🙌

We have been so blessed with wonderful donations from our community, especially as we work on stocking our new clothing closet for the ladies.

We know sometimes you may stop by with a donation and no one is available in the office. Now you don’t have to make another trip! If we happen to be out, you can simply place your donations in the box right outside the office.

Thank you to everyone who continues to think of Gamma House and our ladies when you have items to donate. Your generosity helps us make sure the women who come through our doors have what they need, and we truly appreciate you! ❤️

We are so thankful for community partners like Goodwill in Mountain Home and for people like Jacob Riley and Lori Moore who truly invest in our ladies.

Jacob is a Career Specialist, and he is amazing at taking the time to really get to know each person he works with. He learns their skills, abilities, goals, and even the barriers or restrictions they may be facing. And when it comes to resumes, I’m pretty sure he’s a resume guru!

The Gamma House program requires our residents to obtain employment, pay rent, and save money as they work toward independence. Jacob has been such a great resource in helping our ladies prepare for employment and pursue opportunities where they can be successful.

Just when we thought we were already completely blessed by Goodwill’s Career Services, Ms. Lori Moore reached out and introduced us to their Reentry Services program.

A couple of our ladies are currently participating in her program. They are learning job skills, earning certificates, preparing for those tough interview questions, and learning how to talk honestly and confidently about past incarceration when applying for jobs. The best part is that they are gaining these skills while working, earning a living, and continuing to move forward.

These programs are such an incredible resource for our community, especially for people who are working hard to build a different future.

We are so thankful for Goodwill Arkansasgoodwillar, Jacob, Lori, and everyone who chooses to see the potential in our ladies and invest in where they are going, not just where they have been.

Well, our ladies are officially covered! 😂

Seriously though, what a blessing! 172 pairs of underwear. Undergarments are always a huge need around here, so this donation means more than you might realize.
Most of our ladies come to Gamma House with nothing but the clothes they arrive in, and sometimes that doesn’t even include undergarments. Having brand-new ones here and ready when they need them is such a blessing.Thank you Redeemer Lutheran Church - Mountain Home, AR ❤️

You know you have a house full of 11 women when toilet paper and paper towels feel like a pretty exciting delivery! 😂

We go through this stuff FAST!

A huge thank you to the sweet donor who thought of us and brought these much needed supplies. Thank you for helping us keep the house stocked and taking care of our ladies. We sure appreciate you! ❤️🧻🙌

Y’all, just look at these quilts! ❤️

Yesterday, Sandy Beasley with the Hill ’N Hollow Quilters stopped by Gamma House and brought us these beautiful handmade quilts.

Now, clearly we didn’t have a photographer around, so we did what we could with a selfie 😂 But forget us for a minute and LOOK at those quilts! The time, creativity, talent, and love that goes into making something like this is pretty amazing. We were in awe!

These are going to be such a sweet gift for our ladies. Some will become housewarming gifts when a lady gets the keys to a place of her very own, and others will be here to snuggle up with on a cool night in the ole Gamma House. Either way, they’ll be loved and put to good use.

And Sandy, an extra thank you for tracking us down after the Yellow House closed! ❤️ Gamma House is still here, and it means so much when people in our community go out of their way to find us and continue supporting our ladies.
