Our Emergency Shelter is still open and ready to serve those who need refuge from the cold.

We currently have a few guests staying with us who could really benefit from some boots for the snow. Our current needs include:

-Two children’s pairs (one boy and one girl), size 6.5

-One pair of women’s boots, size 9

If you have any of these available, please comment below so that others know this need is met. They can be dropped off anytime!

❄️ Emergency Winter Shelter Update ❄️

Due to upcoming winter conditions and extended cold temperatures, The Reach Center will be opening as an emergency warming shelter.

🕛 Opening Friday at NOON

⚠️ Important Note:
This is a temporary, emergency-only operation due to ongoing construction and will remain open as long as severe cold conditions are in our area and volunteers are available.

🤍 Volunteer Sign-Ups
We are asking volunteers to complete the sign-up form to help us see who is available and when.
Submitting the form does not assign you to a role or shift. It simply helps our team build a safe and workable schedule.

The Arkansas Division of Workforce Services Mobile Unit will be parked at the Chamber of Commerce tomorrow. They will be here from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. You can stop by and receive assistance with job searching, building a resume, or filing for unemployment. We are located at 1337 Hwy 62 W, Mountain Home. The ADWS Mobile Workforce Center is scheduled to come back every other Thursday.

We have had the opportunity to serve MANY people this last month at the Reach Center. With that being said we are currently in need of some help with a few things and with some needed items as well. Please see the list below and consider partnering with us to give a hand up.

Help needed in these areas:
🙋🏽‍♂️ People to help monitor all hours of the day but especially weekends and overnights.
👩🏻‍💻 People to mentor and help direct/encourage ones in their next steps.
🧺 People to wash bedding at laundry mat and bring back.
🌭People to occasionally provide a cooked meal.
🚐People to transport some to medical appointments, jobs, court, etc…

Items needed:
🧻 Toilet paper
🚮 Trash bags
🧤Rubber gloves
☕️Coffee/Creamer & any drinks
📄Copy paper
👖New/Gently used sweat pants
👚New/Gently used sweat shirts & plain t-shirts
🍏Grab and go food items, especially fruit, breakfast items, sandwhich items, heat and eat items.
