Friends of Chuck Eckstadt are invited to a CELEBRATION OF LIFE in his honor at Johnson County Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 17 at 3pm.
Chuck Eckstadt was a friend to all who knew him, a kind and
generous soul whose love for art, animals, music, and the
natural world enriched our community in countless ways.
An avid art collector and devoted supporter of the Johnson
County Center for the Arts, Chuck believed in the value of
creativity and the importance of bringing art into our lives. He
delighted in discovering local music and supporting the artists
and musicians who make our community special.
Chuck’s compassion extended to animals, and he was
instrumental in supporting the Johnson County Humane
Society and its mission to care for those without a voice. He
also found joy and peace in the outdoors. He loved to hike and
helped develop local trails. Chuck deeply appreciated the
beauty of the mountains and the natural world around him.
Chuck’s memory will be cherished by his daughter, Wendy
James, and her husband, Claiborne; his granddaughters,
Grace James and Meredith James; his sister, Gail Belfiore; his
brother, Tom Eckstadt; and his four nephews as well as his
special friend, Madilyn Icenhour McGlothlin.
More than anything, Chuck will be remembered for his
friendship, his generous spirit, and his genuine appreciation
for the people and places that made this community home. His
presence will be missed, but his kindness and the many ways
he made a difference will continue to live on in the hearts of
those who knew him
