Our annual Sam Ingraham Senior and Caregiver Resource Day is back! Join Taskforce and its many organizations for a free, public event. 10am to 1pm on September 16th at the 1st Nazarene Church in Mt Vernon. Lunch is provided (courtesy of Avalon). We are accepting vendor applications as well. The event showcases all sorts of resources to guide and support seniors, caregivers, those planning ahead, and more. Perhaps learn who to contact before the need ever arises as life can be unexpected, but being prepared and knowledgeable is priceless. We look forward to seeing you then!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the fair last week! We had a record breaking turn out. 130 signed in, but we estimate 135 visitors. Last year was 109. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves. A special thank you to the fair board for allowing our return. A large number of our organizations came together to put this on. The Green Teens were a big help working as gophers and registration. Lunch by Avalon, water/fans by CenterWell, water/bingo cards by Station Break, pens by Gentiva, OES Homes sponsored tables/chairs/pens, fans by Luminary and Star, and more. Jim returned as our DJ. Bingo prizes were donated by a number of our organizations as well including Country Club, Heartland Promos, Alzheimer's Association, Mt Vernon Care Community, F.A.C., and more. Many of these groups and others staffed the event. This list is not exhaustive as so much effort can be hard to keep track of and goes to show how strong our Knox community is.
