✍️ CALLING ALL RESEARCHERS & WRITERS...PNWCDR NEEDS YOU! 🐾

Want to use your research and writing skills to directly help rescue dogs?
Pacific Northwest Cattle Dog Rescue is looking for 2-4 volunteers to join our Grants Team! ❤️

As a small, foster-based nonprofit without a brick-and-mortar facility, finding grants we qualify for can be challenging, which makes having a dedicated team to seek out those opportunities incredibly valuable.

What you’ll help with:
🐾 Research grant opportunities that PNWCDR may qualify for
✍️ Help write and submit grant proposals
📅 Track eligibility requirements, deadlines, and grant cycles
📊 Work with our Finance Team to maintain important rescue metrics
🤝 Communicate with our Foster and Fundraising teams to understand where funding is needed most
🗂️ Build and maintain a list of potential funding opportunities for the future

Time commitment: Approximately 2-6 hours per month, although occasionally more time may be needed when we have a foster dog requiring urgent medical funding.

We’re looking for volunteers who are strong researchers, comfortable with writing, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

✨ Previous grant-writing or nonprofit experience is a bonus, but it is not required! If you’re a strong researcher or writer who is willing to learn, we’d still love to hear from you.

Every grant we receive means more resources for veterinary care, foster support, transportation, supplies, and ultimately, more dogs we can say “yes” to. 🐶❤️

Ready to put your skills to work for rescue dogs?

🚨 SIDEKICK WANTED 🚨

Bentley is officially looking for his person! 💙🐾

This smart, sensitive little guy is the perfect combination of playful puppy and professional couch companion. He loves fetch, tug, chew toys, playing with his friends…and when the fun is over, he’s more than happy to curl up with you for a serious nap. 🥹

Bentley is already housebroken and knows sit, shake, up and down! He’s also working on his recall and leash skills.

He does great with other dogs and would love a playful canine sibling to learn from, but he could also be happy as an only dog as long as he has some regular dog friends. He’s done well with children, cats, and small animals, too!

Most of all, Bentley is a people puppy. He wants to be near his person and would thrive in a somewhat active home where someone is around most of the day.

And yes…we fully expect him to continue believing he is a lap dog no matter how big he gets. (Speaking of, his sister's DNA test came back as 50.2% American Pitbull Terrier, 36.3% Australian Cattle Dog, 9.2% Great Dane, 4.3% Great Pyrenees).

Think Bentley might be your new sidekick? Apply to adopt at pnwcdr.org 🐾

HOLY COW! 🐄 Or, given who we are… HOLY CATTLE DOG! 🤠🐾

Our friends over at besties absolutely HOOKED. OUR. FOSTER DOGS. UP. 😭💙

They sent us custom PNWCDR tags to help keep our foster pups extra safe while they’re in our care, PLUS a seriously incredible stash of collars and leashes. Like... SO MANY COLLARS AND LEASHES 🤩

For a small, volunteer-run rescue, donations like this mean more than we can say. Every single one of these items will go directly toward helping the dogs who come through PNWCDR, and we are so incredibly grateful to besties for supporting our pups. 💙

Please go show them ALLLLL the love for being such wonderful humans! 🫶

Aaaaand a HUGE shoutout to one of our amazing supporters, Rainier & Zelda | PNW Dogs + UGC , for nominating PNWCDR to receive this spectacular donation in the first place!! 🥹 You helped make all of this happen, and we are SO grateful for you!

Our foster dogs are officially going to be safe AND stylish. 💅🐕✨

PS: any other brands who want to spoil some adorable cattle dogs...DM us 🤪

📍 PORTLAND & SALEM: WE NEED EVENT COORDINATORS! 🐾

Love dogs, community events, and bringing people together? PNWCDR is looking for volunteers in the Portland and Salem areas to help us get out into the community and introduce more people to our rescue, and our incredible dogs! ❤️

We’re also looking for a Lead Event Coordinator or two Co-Leads who would like to take a little more ownership in helping organize and grow our event presence in the area!

🐶 What our Event Coordinators help with:
🐾 Coordinate adoption events at local pet stores and businesses
🎪 Find dog-friendly festivals, markets, and community events where PNWCDR can set up a booth
🤝 Communicate with venues and local business owners on behalf of the rescue
📣 Coordinate with our social media, fundraising, and adoption teams
👥 Help organize small groups of volunteers for events

Time commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours per month, with a mix of remote coordination and occasional in-person events.

You don’t need professional event-planning experience! We’re looking for people who are organized, communicative, comfortable connecting with local businesses, and excited to represent PNWCDR in the community.

Whether you’d like to help as an Event Coordinator or step into a Lead/Co-Lead role, we’d love to hear from you! 🐕❤️

👉 Apply at pnwcdr.org/volunteer
