Let The Count Down Begin!

Join us this Saturday for the RIGHT T.R.A.C.K. Program Car Wash & BBQ Fundraiser from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM at 227 East Lincoln Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY. For just $20 per car, you can help support our teens as they raise funds for an upcoming field trip. Come out for great food, community fun, and a sparkling clean car while supporting a great cause. Bring your family and friends, and please help us spread the word by sharing this post.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Rotary Club for inviting us to join their bowling trip this past Saturday. We truly appreciate the opportunity and hospitality!

Our students had an amazing time, and it was great spending the day with the Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club. From friendly competition on the lanes to lots of laughs and great memories, we had an absolute blast!

🌸💕 Happy Mother’s Day from YCOP 💕🌸

Today we celebrate the love, strength, care, and endless support that mothers and mother figures give every single day. On Friday, May 8th, YCOP & the Girls Empowerment Group hosted our Mother’s Day Sip & Paint: Create Moments Together. 🎨✨

Families came together for an evening filled with laughter, music, games, treats, creativity, and unforgettable memories. Our featured artwork, the Mother & Child Elephant Painting 🐘💕, symbolized love, strength, connection, and togetherness.

Thank you to every parent, mother figures, and child who joined us and helped make the evening so special. We loved seeing everyone create beautiful memories together through art. 🌷✨

Today, We recognize seven graduating seniors all of whom have been part of Y-COP as young as five or six years old. They have taken on responsibility as a CIT (Counselor-in-Training), and eventually hired as Y-COP employees filling the role of Junior and Senior Counselors. These youth have volunteered their time at daycare centers reading to their younger peers; serving meals at the soup kitchen; packing nonperishables at food pantries; interacting with seniors at adult social day care centers; and as assistant coaches during Y-COP’s youth development basketball and soccer programs. They have competed in science fairs throughout Westchester County and WON!

Each of these deserving youth will receive a scholarship to assist with their studies in the fall as well as certificates of recognition from the Mayor of Mount Vernon, the Mount Vernon City Council and Assemblyman Gary J. Pretlow.

Special Guest Speaker: Dr. Gayle White Wallace, Director of Prekindergarten, Gifted & Talented and Special Projects for the Mount Vernon City School District.
