Stronger together. 💚

What a joy it was to gather with Trauma Healing facilitators and ministry partners from across North America at Stronger Together last week! As our time came to a close, Jay Baylor, our U.S. Regional Coordinator, sent us out with this benediction.

Whether you were in the room, joined online, or are part of our community of practice from wherever you serve, these words are for you too. Receive them as a blessing over you and the healing ministry God has given you:

I pray for an increase in your connection and intimacy with the Lord.
Increase in your capacity to receive love and give love.
Increase in endurance and perseverance to bear up when the load is heavy.
Increase in abiding and resting in the Lord's presence.
Increase in boldness.
Increase in creativity.
Increase in grace and mercy.
Increase in compassion.
Increase in anointing for healing.
Increase in faith to see miracles, signs, and wonders.

I bless you to bring good news to the poor.
I bless you to bind up the brokenhearted.
I bless you to proclaim liberty to the captives.
I bless you to open the prison to those who are bound.

Community Of Practice
Stronger Together! 💙sister Sunday Pace & I had the opportunity to connect with team US & Canada last week in Philadelphia 🙏what a blessing.
September 29–October 1 was a special three days as we gathered for the Trauma Healing Institute “Stronger Together” North American Community of Practice, hosted by the American Bible Society in partnership with the Canadian Bible Society🙌❣️
What a gift it was to gather together as a community! We shared updates from Trauma Healing ministries across North America and learned so much from one another through our experiences of facilitating trauma healing programs in our churches, communities, and organizations.
One of the greatest blessings was being able to connect in person with people we have come to know through the years—many of whom we have only ever seen online. Being together with Sallie Helmholt and her team brought such encouragement and renewed our sense that we truly are part of something much bigger than any one ministry or community.
We also had the opportunity to build new relationships and connections through networking with ministries from different parts of North America. We were encouraged by powerful devotionals and heartfelt, strengthening testimonies shared by facilitators from across the continent. Their stories reminded us once again of the importance of creating safe places where people can bring their wounds to the Lord and begin a journey toward healing.
And to top it all off, we were deeply inspired by the plenary speakers, who shared their wisdom, experience, and expertise and challenged us to continue growing in this important work of trauma healing.
Three days of learning.
Three days of encouragement.
Three days of connection.
Three days of being reminded that we are stronger together.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to attend and to be part of this incredible community of people who are committed to bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to those who have experienced trauma.

Olympia and Thurston County have seen confirmed federal-level enforcement actions in 2026. In March 2026, the Washington State Patrol's High Tech Crimes Unit, working with the FBI, executed a search warrant at an Olympia residence and arrested a man on charges of first- and second-degree possession of child s*xual abuse material — investigators confirmed additional evidence of unlawful covert recording in public locations throughout Thurston County and stated they believe additional victims exist. In June 2026, U.S. Marshals recovered a missing child from "The Jungle," a 20-acre homeless encampment at the edge of Olympia and Lacey, after NCMEC provided information that the child was at risk of s*x trafficking in Washington state. Federal law enforcement described the encampment as having high rates of violence and community safety concerns. Two confirmed enforcement actions tied directly to child exploitation and trafficking, both in Olympia in 2026 — this is not a background risk level, it is an active enforcement environment.

The initial Healing the Wounded Heart Inmate Journal Equipping was a tremendous blessing, held July 23–25, 2026.
It was an honor to serve alongside Good News Jail & Prison Ministry Chaplain Joe Collins, as we equipped chaplains to bring Christ-centered trauma healing into correctional settings.

One of the greatest highlights was seeing chaplains join us from around the world via Zoom, including participants from Lebanon, Turkey, and Pakistan. Together, we explored the Healing the Wounded Heart Inmate Journal curriculum and prepared to minister to incarcerated men and women who are carrying deep wounds and trauma.

It is inspiring to witness God expanding this ministry beyond borders, equipping His servants to bring hope, healing, and the love of Christ to those who need it most.

Thank you to everyone who participated, prayed, and invested in this important calling. Please continue to pray for these chaplains as they begin using this curriculum to help bring healing to wounded hearts in prisons and jails around the world.
