🍪💚 A Sweet Surprise for Friendship House! 💚🍪

A huge THANK YOU to Girl Scout Troop #43929 for their incredibly generous donation of 48 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to Friendship House! 🎉

These amazing young leaders stopped by with boxes of Thin Mints, Adventurefuls, and more to share with the people we serve. Their kindness and generosity will bring a lot of smiles to our guests.

We love seeing young people making a difference in our community and showing what it means to help others. ❤️

Thank you, Troop #43929 of the Girl Scouts, for thinking of Friendship House and for spreading a little extra sweetness and joy!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Friendship House food drive at Grocery Outlet in Mount Vernon hosted by KAPS Country and KBRC Classic Rock! 🎙️🥫

Because of this amazing community, we collected:
🥫 263 pounds of food
🧺 27 containers of laundry detergent

Every donation helps us continue providing meals, pantry support, and hope to our neighbors experiencing homelessness and hardship.

🔪🎓 Our Hunger to Hope graduates are officially on the cutting edge of culinary arts!

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of our Friendship House Café interns as they received their certificates and their very own chef’s knives after completing the program. 🍽️❤️

From learning kitchen skills and teamwork to building confidence and preparing for the future, these graduates have worked incredibly hard - and we couldn’t be more proud.

Congratulations to our newest Hunger to Hope graduates! 👏

Our carts are filling up and the community is SHOWING UP in a big way today at Grocery Outlet! 💛

Huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by so far to donate food, household items, and encouragement. Every single item helps support our neighbors here in Skagit County.

Last week, our H2H (Hunger to Hope) interns presented their final dishes before graduation-and we could not be more proud! 👏🍽️

Each intern planned, prepared, and presented a dish to a panel of Skagit Friendship House staff judges, where they were scored on taste, creativity, and presentation.

From the incredible food to the confidence and hard work shown today, these interns truly impressed us all. 💛

Programs like Hunger to Hope are about more than cooking-they’re about building skills, confidence, community, and new opportunities.
