Art has been a lifelong companion for Laurel Emmons, who works primarily with micron pen, pencil, and acrylic. For her, creating is both an expressive outlet and a source of comfort—offering a way to visualize feelings that words often cannot capture. Over the past seven years, Laurel has deepened her practice through art therapy, discovering just how meaningful and immeasurable her creative work truly is.

Karen Bakke is a Sedro Woolley-based fine artist with one foot in Yosemite and the other in the Pacific Northwest. She occasionally paints en plein air, capturing light, form, and atmosphere in real time

Kathleen Glassburn, author of Where Do Stories Come From?, is teaching a writers workshop on Sunday, April 26th from 11am-12:30pm at the LIDO Collective. The class invites participants of all levels to explore the origins of storytelling. Participants will receive a printed a printed story along with its real life inspiration as Kathleen guides the group through discussion. 📚
