Congratulations to Mt. Mount Vernon R-v Schools High School Drama Department along with the Middle School for an AMAZING performance of Mary Poppins, Jr. They performed the very last play at the MARC as we know it. This time next year, they will be in the new Performing Arts Center at the high school!

Public Service Announcement

Rebels Bluff Youth Theater would like to reassure our community, families, and supporters that our passion for the arts and our commitment to young performers remains as strong as ever. While we are saddened by the closing of the MARC, this is not the end of our story. Rebels Bluff has a proud tradition of bringing theater to life in a variety of venues, and we are excited to continue that legacy.

Our productions will go on! We are actively seeking new locations and creative spaces to stage our performances, just as we did before the MARC became our home. The curtain will rise, the lights will shine, and our talented youth will continue to share their gifts with you.

Thank you for your ongoing support and belief in the power of youth theater. Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming shows and new performance spaces. Together, we will keep the arts alive in our community!

Please be advised that the City of Mount Vernon will be selling the property located at 822 W. Mount Vernon Blvd known as the Mount Vernon Arts and Recreation Center (MARC).



This notice is to provide your group with the opportunity to remove the equipment, props, costumes, and other supplies that your group owns and is currently being stored at the MARC.

The MARC facility is officially closed as of October 20, 2025, only events that have been previously scheduled through December 15, 2025, will be honored.

Everything that belongs to your group must be removed by December 15th unless arrangements have been made, but in no case later than December 31, 2025.

Auditions for our summer musical, The Trials of Alice in Wonderland will take place at The MARC May 19th & 20th at 6pm. Please be prepared to sing a song of your choice A ca****la and do a cold read. Never auditioned before? No problem! We are looking for boys and girls from elementary school to high school who are excited about having fun! Regardless if it’s your first time or 10th time, come and join us!

Synopsis: Based on two of the greatest works in children’s literature, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, this fast-paced and witty show is set in Wonderland’s courtroom, where Alice is on trial. The Queen of Hearts is the judge, the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, and Caterpillar are witnesses, and the jury is a deck of cards! Poor Alice must try to prove her innocence by re-living the events of the adventures we’ve all come to love. Her crime? Growing and changing. Both helping and hindering her are Tweedledee and Tweedledum, who spend most of their time trying to decide who is the attorney for the defense and who for the prosecution. To win the case and save her head, Alice must embrace the truth about who she is and be willing to wake up from the dream of Wonderland.
