Last week the Mount Vernon American Legion donated to the Mustang Hub -a project that both displays current MVCSD events and students, and a digital online archive of Mustang History. This is physically installed in the High School Commons and online at https://mvcsdfoundation.touchpros.com/Home2
Their donation will help create a digital archive for 100+ years of the district’s history, including the military tribute to recognize the service by Mustangs: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard! Thank you MV American Legion!

While the installation was a step forward, the project is still in its infancy. Creating a digital archive for 100+ years of the district’s history is a monumental undertaking, requiring significant time, money and resources to create a seamless user experience. A donation directed to this effort is a way to support current students and the history of the Mount Vernon Mustangs!

All great things start with a Foundation!
The Mount Vernon Community School District Foundation is a partner in the new James W. Bellamy Team Room. Pictured is the Foundation concrete that will provide a needed facility to the Track & Field, Soccer, and Football athletes and the Marching Mustangs.

The MVCSD Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that partners with alumni, businesses, parents, and friends to help support the higher level of educational excellence for students of Mount Vernon Schools.

The Middle School Playground Construction is underway! Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome to help today, Friday August 22 from 3-8 p.m. to help assemble. This is possible due to the donations made to the MVMS PTO! There is a new gaga ball pit, 9 square, and structures for climbing. Thank you for your generosity!

We are looking for volunteers for our annual 5k Run/Walk on 4/23/25. Volunteers will be placed along the route to cheer on and direct students. And we will need 4 water station attendants.
