A Wind Advisory is in effect today along and west of Highway 65 until 1 PM. Periodic gusts up to 40 to 50 mph can be expected, which can be a nuisance for driving high-profile vehicles. Loose objects may also get blown around. The advisory may be expanded eastward as the day goes on.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 12 PM today as a broken line of strong to severe thunderstorms moves across the area from west to east this morning. As the day goes on, redevelopment/re-intensification of these storms will bring potentially significant severe weather to areas east of Highway 63.

A red flag warning is in effect today for the entire area from 10 am to 8 pm. Afternoon humidity levels will dip into the 19-25 percent range while winds will likely gust above 30 mph at times today. This will bring significant to pockets of extreme fire danger to the area today.
