Announcing our Greatest Pumpkin Decorating Contest for 2026! This is for Elementary School students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade! 🎃 🍀

Students who would like to participate: decorate a real OR fake pumpkin however you would like (as long as it is appropriate)! No carving is allowed, so stick to painting, coloring, drawing, and decorating! 🎃

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for each division: 🏆
Kindergarten-2nd grade and 3rd-5th grades

Bring your decorated pumpkin to the Elementary School to turn in on Monday, October 26th! They will remain on display for the remainder of that week!🍀 Call our office at 912-583-2240 with any questions!

Middle School 4-Hers (6th-8th)! We are offering Junior Conference, a weekend at Rock Eagle where you can participate in workshops, educational sessions, and meet other 4-Hers from across the state! This will be November 14-15, the cost will be $95.00, and the deadline to sign up is Tuesday, October 27th!🍀

These Senior 4-Hers spent their first day of Fall Break with us on a historic/spooky trip to Savannah! They got to go on a tour, serenade us in the van, do some shopping at local stores, & got to see a couple of pets along the way! Such a great way to end off National 4-H week in Montgomery County!💚🤍🍀

MCMS and MCHS showed out with “Anything But A Backpack” day for National 4-H week!! It was a day full of dressing up, Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging practice, and doing final deliveries of goodies to Farm Bureau, the Commissioner’s office, and the 98Q radio station! Ending the day with one final round of 4-H trivia & the winners receiving their cupcakes! We appreciate everyone who helps us Make The Best Better!🍀🤍💚 Have a safe and fun fall break MoCo!

Wednesday was Pajama Day at MCES for National 4-H week! Thank you to all who participated! These kids rocked it all week long!🍀

Some of our County Council members kicked off National 4-H Week on Friday by visiting the MoCo Board of Education and delivering some sweet treats! After school today, several Cloverleaf and Junior 4-Hers went around town delivering sweet treats to our MoCo Commissioners, County Offices, & of course, MCES, MCMS, and MCHS 4-H teachers & staff received theirs as well! Huge thank you to everyone who helps us make the best better!💚🤍🍀

Day 2 of National 4-H Week was another busy one! 🍀 Cloverleaf 4-Hers picked out their DPA projects today & “dressed for success”! Middle/High School got to play another round of 4-H trivia & dressed like “Adam Sandler”! Who was your favorite Adam Sandler look alike?!

We also heard 9th grade 4-Her Kinley Barber on the radio! Continue to tune into 98Q and WYUM the rest of this week to hear other familiar voices!

Tomorrow finishes off our week of dress up days with “pajama day” at the Elementary School and “anything but a backpack day” at the Middle/High School!💚🤍 Thank you to everyone who has participated! We can’t wait to see what y’all come up with for tomorrow!

Little bit of a late post, but on September 17th, some Senior 4-Hers got to “declare” their DPA topics for the year!🍀 We are so excited for all of the upcoming portfolio workshops, speech writing, poster/slide creation, and memory making that will take place in the coming months!💚

Happy National 4-H week from Montgomery County!🍀 We kicked off today by stopping by the schools to see who “wore green” at the Elementary School & who “dressed their best” at the Middle/High School! 6th-12th graders got to participate in 4-H trivia & we got to hear Senior 4-Her Avi Serrano on the radio! We loved seeing everyone & can’t wait to see what y’all do tomorrow for “Dress Your Best” day at the Elementary School and “Adam Sandler” day for the Middle/High School!💚 We will be back for more trivia 😉, so stay tuned for tomorrow!
