The County Extension 4‐H Program Assistant is a para‐professional who works with County Extension Agents to deliver the 4‐H program in their assigned geographic area and performs duties necessary to assist the county extension agents in the day‐to‐day conduct of programs. This employee works cooperatively with all Extension faculty and staff where applicable and is administratively responsible to the County Extension Coordinator and the District Extension Director and programmatically responsible to an assigned County Extension 4‐H Agent.

What an AWESOME outpouring of support for the Brantley County Fire victims our county showed in the last day and a half! In such a short time frame, Montgomery County 4-H was able to deliver a literal TRUCK LOAD and VAN LOAD of desperately needed items. Thank you all!!!!

UPDATE: They are in need of Household items, Bedding, Towels, Wash clothes, Children's clothes and Extra Large and Up Size clothes.


As many of you are well aware, areas in our district have been severely affected by wildfires. While several fires have been contained, the fire in the Brantley County area continues to burn. At last report, the fire encompasses approximately 4,000 acres and has destroyed 40 homes.

Below is a list of supplies that are needed immediately in Brantley County.
Items may be dropped off at the Montgomery Co. 4-H Office through Thursday, April 23 at lunch.

We are excited to announce Montgomery County Extension/4-H is a recipient of the Georgia ReLeaf Grant! Montgomery County residents can complete the following survey to sign up to receive a free tree, bag of mulch, and watering ring.

This is a part of Montgomery County 4-H and FFA member Hartley Williamson’s 4-H Leadership in Action and FFA Agriscience Fair Project! Thank you to Hartley and our 4-H volunteer, Mrs. Joyce Allen, for their hard work bringing this idea to life.
