Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday. One of Skagit Rotary's newest service projects, the Birthday Cake Kit Project, was created with a simple goal: to make sure children in our community can celebrate their special day, regardless of their family's circumstances.

Thanks to the generosity of our community and the dedication of our members, we assembled and donated 200 Birthday Cake Kits, which have now been distributed to local children and families through Tri-Parish Food Bank. Each kit includes the essentials for a birthday celebration, helping create joyful memories for children across Skagit County.

This project would not have been possible without our incredible community partners. Thank you to:

Haggen for generously donating cake mixes, sprinkles, candles, and so many of the little extras that made each birthday kit feel truly special.

Mt Vernon Grocery Outlet for donating cake mixes and frosting.

Skagit Valley Food Co-op for donating ice cream coupons.

WCP Solutions for donating the paper bags used to package each kit.

Community Action of Skagit County for helping connect these kits with local families.

And thank you to Tri Parish Food Bank for distributing all 200 kits to children and families throughout our community.

Happy birthday to 200 amazing kids! We hope these kits bring smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories with family and friends. Projects like this are only possible because neighbors, businesses, nonprofits, and volunteers choose to come together to make a difference. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring this idea to life and make birthdays a little brighter for children across Skagit County.
