Just got off the phone with Clint. All 12 just made it back to basecamp, no infirmary visits no injuries and all in good spirits!

Today was a real doozy. Woke up at the crack of dawn, made a quick pit stop at Clear Creek for the Rocky Mountain Fur Company Program, then high-tailed it up Mt Phillips. They stopped for the night to camp at 11,736 ft elevation, the second highest peak in Philmont. Miles hiked today: 10.42, 2989 ft elevation gain.

Is anybody not ready?! Hike on! The day's escapades kicked off with the group's first food pickup, then a visit to the Western Lore Program at Beaubien, and finally a trek to Crooked Creek for the Pioneer Homestead Program. Miles hiked today: 6.6, 1644 ft elevation gain.

No photos today but today's escapades involved a pit stop at North Fork Urraca for our environmental conservation project of trail building and then off to Black Mountain! Here the crew had a blast with some blackpowder rifle shooting and blacksmithing at this civil war era reenactment encampment. Miles hiked today: 5.1, 1475 ft elevation gain.
