This week at Mt Vernon Rotary our guest program was Mariellen Raucher with Heritage Livestock.

Mariellen spoke to us about the process of selling horses. She owns and operates a business outbid Mt. Vernon and Carthage as well as conducts used equipment sales.

Today’s program at Mt. Vernon Rotary was Mr. Alex Weinzierl band director for Mt. Vernon Schools.

Mr. Weinzierl talked about all the success that Mt. Vernon bands have had over the years and how much more success is coming for them.

Many trophies and recognitions were awarded as a group and as individuals this last year. From concert band, marching band, jazz bands it was such a successful year!

Serving. That's what we do. We LOVE our school! Did you know that the Mt. Vernon Rotary Club provides dozens of service projects directly to our Mt. Vernon R-5 School District!

We have the best staff and admin around! So we take every opportunity to show them how much we appreciate them and how much we support our kids!

The Mt.Vernon Rotary Club program this past week was one of our very own!

Rotarian Wilbur talked to us about “The Mother Road”, Route 66.

This year is the 100th anniversary of this iconic route. Wilbur explained its originals and how it came to be.

Wilbur, being a car enthusiast, had lots and lots of history for us!

Another AMAZING program at Mt. Vernon Rotary today!

Ashley Wilson, the Mt. Vernon Elementary Library Media Specialist came to speak about a recent addition to her library.

Ashley presented a program about her new 3D printer that she recently received thanks in part to Mt. Vernon Rotary’s “Impact” grant that she received.

This grant was designed to help our teachers and staff with funding for projects that will make an impact on our students.

She talked about all of the special projects that she has been able to help with in different classes. Items are made from the new 3D printer that students themselves create.

Thank you Ashley for your passion to serve! Another shinning example of why the administration and staff of Mt. Vernon Schools is simply the BEST!!!

Again, another service project we couldn’t do without the support of our community!

The Noble & Noteworthy April 2026 is out! The Mt. Vernon Rotary Club has been BUSY and we are just getting started!!

Our annual car show was a success!!!

From new members, service projects, to veteran owned local businesses it's all in this edition. Check us out and become a member!! We have meetings both during the day and evenings to make it easier!
