🎉 Join us for the FIRST-EVER Huntingdon County History Day as we honor 250 years of America right here at home!

📅 Saturday, June 13, 2026
🕙 10 AM – 4 PM
📍 Riverside Park, Smithfield

🏛️ This exciting event brings together museums, historical societies, local authors, and reenactors for a day full of history, discovery, and community pride.

🔔 We are excited to have the county 250 Bell and hopefully the 250 Quilt on display!

✨ Browse unique historical items & books
✨ Meet passionate historians and storytellers

🎖️ At 2PM please join us for a special presentation of Quilts of Valor to 7 Veterans from Huntingdon County!

📚 Whether you’re a lifelong history buff or just looking for a great day out, there’s something here for everyone!

⏳The Adam Holiday Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will have items from the former Standing Stone Chapter DAR’s 50 Year Time Capsule on display!
✉️ Be sure to grab one of their postcards to the future and fill it out for 2076!

Join the Orbisonia - Rockhill Furnace Historical Society for a presentation of “Local Events & Happenings from Bygone Days” on Tuesday June 3rd at 7pm at the Orbisonia Church of the Nazarene in their Fellowship Hall.

Presented by Ellen Cheslock Mellott who has researched through the newspapers “Orbisonia Correspondents” and the “Mount Union Times” between 1900-1915!

Free and Open to the public, all are welcome!

Today’s the day we’ve been waiting for! The William E. Swigart Jr. Auto Museum is officially OPEN for the 2025 season!!! 🎉

Located in beautiful historic Huntingdon County PA and the Raystown Lake Region is the Swigart Museum, which is the oldest automobile museum in America!
There are 30 to 35 cars on display rotated from our collection. When visiting you may see two Tucker's, and Herbie The Love Bug. In addition to the cars, the museum displays bicycles, horns, toys, lights, license plates from every state, name emblems/badges from numerous cars, trains and more!

🚙 ☕️ Every Saturday Morning (unless it’s raining) is Kars & Koffee by Raystown Kruisers from 8am-11am. The museum will open at 9am on Saturdays.
