Passed on election night when no one was watching. Thank you to Jon Ledford, the only Mt. Sterling City Council member who listens to his constituents. 90%+ public opposition to increasing the food tax by 50% and the city pushed forward with it.

Today: Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Mt. Sterling City Hall.

Come speak up against the city’s proposed 50% increase in restaurant tax. They’re wanting to increase it from 2% to 3%.

This tax was added to fund the development of Easy Walker Park and it was supposed to be removed once the loan on Easy Walker Park was paid off.
