This road closure started today and will continue through tomorrow...

🚧County Highway 3&12🚧 will be CLOSED to ALL traffic starting Monday, July 27th, at noon until Tuesday, July 28th, at 3:00 PM. We will be priming the surface Monday afternoon and sealing the road Tuesday. The road will be closed from the East edge of Cooperstown for 1.8 miles. Please see the attached map. The area in red will be closed. PLEASE SHARE!!

Today, our Brown County emergency response partners and school representatives are participating in an important training with the I Love U Guys Foundation focused on reunification planning.

This training helps ensure our community is prepared to safely and efficiently reunite students, families, and loved ones during emergencies. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and strengthen our preparedness efforts together.

The Brown County Emergency Services and Emergency Management were on scene today for Ag Safety Days at the Brown County Elementary School.

We loved seeing the kids’ faces light up as they learned about emergency vehicles, equipment, and safety. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day fun, educational, and memorable for our students.

Wrapping up an incredible week at the IESMA Summit!

Day 3 brought it all together — resilience, partnerships, and professionalism. Three themes that define this work and the people who show up to do it every day.

None of us can do this work in a silo — and this week was a powerful reminder of why those relationships we build matter so much.

Both Brown County EMA and Public Health Emergency Response left with new connections, new ideas, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Grateful for the opportunity to be in the room, to learn alongside some of the best in the state, and to bring that knowledge back home to Brown County.
