Please see below a message from Superintendent Matt Thompson.

Even after investigating every single rumor today, we still have both students and adults continuing to share more rumors on social media tonight. And while they all appear to be versions of the same unfounded things we dealt with all today, I feel it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel school tomorrow to give everyone time to take a breath and allow everything to settle and be looked into.

School is canceled for Montgomery County Schools tomorrow, Friday, September 20, 2024.

District childcare is available at Mapleton Elementary for any child enrolled in the program. Hours will be 6 AM to 6 PM.

Again, school is canceled for Friday, September 20, 2024.
