My office attended the Mount Sinai Troop 1776 Eagle Scout Ceremony held at the St Louis de Monford Catholic Church in Sound Beach.
Congratulations to Michael Venegoni and Owen Lindsay. May you continue to contribute to the betterment of our society.

Today we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to preserve. As Troop 1776, Independence Day holds a special meaning as we reflect on the ideals of liberty, citizenship, and service that unite us all.

Thank you to the veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and all those who have answered the call to serve our country and our communities. Thank you to our dedicated leaders who volunteer countless hours helping our Scouts grow into responsible citizens. And thank you to the families whose encouragement and support make the Scouting journey possible.

As Scouts, we promise "to do my duty to God and my country," and the Fourth of July reminds us that freedom comes with both privilege and responsibility. Every flag ceremony, every act of community service, and every lesson in citizenship helps prepare the next generation to honor and protect the values upon which our nation was founded.

From all of us at Troop 1776, we wish you and your families a safe, joyful, and meaningful Independence Day. May you enjoy time with family and friends while taking a moment to remember those whose courage and sacrifice have made our freedoms possible.

We are very proud to announce that Owen Lindsay will be honored as one of the two newest Eagle Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 1776.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday evening at 7.30pm at the St. Louis de Montfort Roman Catholic Church in Sound Beach, NY.

Today we salute all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who help guide our Scouts along the trail to becoming responsible, capable, and honorable young men.

Thank you for the countless hours spent camping, teaching skills, driving to meetings and events, volunteering behind the scenes, and sharing your wisdom and encouragement. Your example of leadership, service, and dedication helps shape the next generation.

As Scouts, we learn that character is built through example, and we are grateful for the fathers who demonstrate the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law every day.

From all of us at Troop 1776, we wish you and your families a wonderful Father's Day filled with pride, gratitude, and treasured memories.
