It was so nice to have Angelina, Jason, and Sophia from Fulltray visit us again at Agape Meals for Kids. Sophia is now volunteering with them as well, and it was wonderful to have all three of them here together. They came by with another generous delivery of food for our program, collected through donations from local supermarkets and Costco, and we were truly happy to see them.

What they are doing is really meaningful. They created their own 501(c)(3) to help connect nonprofits with local markets so donated food can reach places where it is needed. Their app is now set up and ready to be used by local food pantries, which is exciting to see as something they worked hard to build begins to serve others in a real way.

More than anything, it is encouraging to watch young people take an idea like this and stay committed to it. There is something very hopeful about seeing that kind of care, follow-through, and generosity at such a young age. We are grateful for their visit, for the food they brought, and for the good they are putting into the world. 💙✨

A heartfelt thank you to Laurie and Kyle for thinking of Agape Meals for Kids during bingo night at Lodge 1742 last Tuesday. 💙

Through Musical Bingo with Laurie, they made the evening about more than just fun, inviting people to bring food donations for our children and helping fill our shelves in such a thoughtful way.

What makes it even more meaningful is that Laurie and Kyle are also with us every week, volunteering their time and becoming such a meaningful part of what we do.

It means a lot to see the same kindness they bring to their own community carried into Agape as well. We are truly grateful for their support, their generosity, and the care they show our children week after week. ✨🧡

Midwinter Recess, Well Spent

During their midwinter recess, John and Gabriel came to volunteer with us and helped pack bags for the children.

It always means a lot when young people choose to spend their free time this way. The bags they worked on went home with children this week, and that quiet connection is really what Agape is.

Yesterday morning Kyle and Laurie came to volunteer with us at Agape.

We spent the morning packing and organizing the food bags and getting everything ready to go back to the schools. It was a big help and a really nice way to start the day.

Most of what we do here happens around a table, putting the bags together one by one and making sure everything is ready before they head out. Yesterday Kyle and Laurie were part of that with us.

We’re very glad you came and we’re looking forward to next time.

Spread the Love 💛

This week we delivered our Valentine’s backpacks.

Each child received a brand new backpack filled with peanut butter and jelly, pancake mix, school supplies, and beautiful books from our friends at Book Fairies. Simple things. Familiar things. The kind of food that turns into an easy sandwich or pancakes on a weekend morning. A fresh backpack that’s just theirs. A book they can keep.

There’s something about this delivery that never feels ordinary. Seeing those new backpacks lined up, ready to go, always stays with me.

We could not do this without the people who quietly show up.

Thank you to the North Shore Public Library for collecting backpacks. Thank you to Sunshine Prevention Center for donating backpacks as well. And thank you to Assumption GOYA for making sure we had plenty of peanut butter and jelly again this year. Book Fairies, we are so grateful for the books that make these bags feel even more special.

Spread the Love St. Paraskevi 💛

This Valentine’s season, the women of St. Paraskevi Ladies Philoptochos packed bags for the children they support through Agape.

Each bag was filled with peanut butter and jelly, school supplies, and enough food to help carry families through the mid-winter break.

They take this on so beautifully every year. The care, the consistency, the way they step in and make it happen it truly makes a difference for the families they serve.

Pastors Emily and Michael Liebler and the community at Local Church in Farmingville helped us bring something special to our kids again this year. They collected over 200 games, Connect 4, UNO, and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, all wrapped and ready to tuck into our holiday bags.

This is the second year they’ve stepped in at just the right moment, offering to help and carrying it through with so much care. The wrapping alone says so much. Each gift handled as if it were going to someone they personally knew.

We’re grateful for Emily, Michael, and everyone at Local Church. Their kindness touches our kids in ways they may never fully see, but we feel it every single time.
