The Dalvon “Uncle D” Robinson Memorial Scholarship

The Dalvon “Uncle D” Robinson Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life, heart, and legacy of a man who meant the world to our family and so many others.
Known by many as Koolaid or simply Uncle D, Dalvon Robinson was a gentle giant. He was incredibly strong, but his true strength came from his heart. He was the kind of man who protected the people he loved, helped anyone who needed it, and treated our children like his own.
For nearly nine years, Uncle D was part of our everyday lives. He helped raise our kids, stood beside our family through hard times, and brought love, laughter, and comfort everywhere he went. Every one of our children shared a special bond with him, and the love between them was something truly unforgettable. The connection he shared with our youngest daughter, Ava, was especially deep. She adored him, and he loved her endlessly. When Dalvon passed away at only 30 years old due to heart complications, our family lost a brother, our children lost an uncle, and our hearts lost someone who can never be replaced.
To keep his memory and spirit alive, Inspire Siskiyou Foundation will begin offering an annual $500 scholarship to a graduating student pursuing college, trade school, or higher education starting next year.
This scholarship is not simply about grades. We are looking for a student who reflects the qualities Uncle D lived by every day:
• Kindness
• Loyalty
• Compassion
• Strength through hardship
• Love for family and community
• Protecting and uplifting others
• Leading through actions instead of words
We want this scholarship to support someone with a good heart — someone who shows up for others, works hard, stays loyal to the people they love, and makes their community better simply by being part of it.
Because that is exactly who Uncle D was.
Though he is no longer with us physically, his love, his spirit, and the impact he made on our lives will continue through every student this scholarship helps in the future.
