Presented by the Shasta Geographic channel, the Forest History Society of Lower Cascadia offers an in-depth look at the region's forests, situated between the Three Sisters Wilderness area in Central Oregon and the Mendocino National Forest in Northern California. Our exploration is guided by four core learning objectives: history, geography, silviculture, and recreation, all in line with the United States Forest Service's mission. This initiative combines field experience, photographic documentation, and firsthand observation across Oregon and Northern California. Our content provides a thorough understanding of forest dynamics, management practices, and contemporary relevance, while also examining key conservation policies and human factors influencing public land use. By engaging with our content, you will not only gain knowledge but also be inspired to visit, support, and advocate for these remarkable landscapes. Follow our journey as we explore Lower Cascadia.
