We are pleased to announce our first meetup of the SiskiyouFILM group that will be held at Mt. Shasta Library on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 7pm.
This meeting will serve to introduce the idea of a film and media trade association to attendees. A brief presentation featuring video will will be provided by John Cu***ng.
Focussed on action, the attendees will be introduced to a fun exercise in movie script writing that’s fast, easy and lots of fun. Several script examples will be read aloud for group critique and development.
Later a demonstration of how these scripts were developed using freely available online software that’s designed for screenplays. Bring your laptop or borrow a one from the Library to participate in the exercises or just use pen and paper. With some practice these methods will allow you to create short film script within a few hours.
We will close the event with a roundtable to discuss ideas for further meetups and film developments.
Looking forward to seeing you at the library on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 7pm.
