Mt. Shasta Community Fireworks

Mt. Shasta Community Fireworks Mt Shasta Community Fireworks is a non-profit corporation with a mission to preserving the longstanding tradition of the 4th of July fireworks in Mt Shasta

Mt Shasta Fireworks is in charge of fundraising and organizing for the annual 4th of July fireworks over Lake Siskiyou. For over 40 years, the skies have been filled with a multitude of colors on the 4th of July. The annual display would not happen without the support of our local business, individuals and volunteers.

Did you know fireworks have been part of Independence Day celebrations since the very beginning of our nation?

On July 3, 1776, John Adams wrote that America’s independence should be celebrated with “bonfires and illuminations” from one end of the country to the other. Just one year later, in 1777, the first organized Independence Day fireworks lit up the skies over Philadelphia.

For nearly 250 years, fireworks have symbolized freedom, patriotism, and the spirit of community. Families gather together, music fills the air, and we all pause to celebrate what it means to be American.

Here in Mount Shasta, we are proud to continue that tradition over beautiful Lake Siskiyou. Every shell launched represents the volunteers, sponsors, and community members who make this celebration possible year after year.

As we prepare for another unforgettable 4th of July — and as America approaches its 250th birthday — we’re reminded that fireworks are more than just a show… they are part of our nation’s story.

Thank you for helping us keep this tradition alive!

It’s only been one week since the 4th of July, and we want to thank everyone who helped make our fireworks show a success.

First, our volunteer crew: Tyler Witherell, Laryssa Witherell, Warren Bree, Paul Dennis, Jack Dennis, Kendall King, Carter Scott, Dana Andreson, John Dove, Joe Allison, Shay Stemm, Ted Greczyn, Kathleen Hunt, Emily Pope, Jason O’Hanlon, Tom Haistings, Drake Miller, Reece Miller, and Reaghan Miller. All these pyrotechnicians gave up their 4th of July to help set up, fire, and clean up after the show. Without them, this show would not happen.

We work hand-in-hand with many departments at the County of Siskiyou, including the Flood Control and Water Conservation District, Planning, Public Works, Encroachment, and the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office boat patrol to keep our fallout zone secure. We also partner with CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit, Mount Shasta Fire Department, MOUNT SHASTA FIRE DISTRICT, Mt Shasta Ambulance, and the U.S. Forest Service - Shasta-Trinity National Forest for event permitting, safety, and logistics. Finally, we are incredibly grateful to CHP - Mount Shasta, for their dedication to our local community and coordination of our event to ensure everyone gets home safely. We appreciate you all!

We want to extend special thanks to our title sponsors: Ray-Mac Mechanical Inc, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company of Mt. Shasta, and Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort. These three sponsors have been with us for a long time, and we couldn't do this show without them! We also want to thank Keith and Patty Cool, their family, and Mount Shasta Supermarket and Deli for feeding the pyrotechnician team year after year.

Our Corporate Sponsors include: Ramshaw's Ace Hardware, Mount Shasta Resort, SOLANO'S Do It Best, Transformitive, W**d Grocery Outlet, Mt Shasta Ambulance Service, Kabanuck Law, AGT CPAs and Advisors, and Mechanic’s Bank.

Our Major Sponsors include: Jon Thomas Fine Jewelry, Roll ‘n Rock Construction, Blue Star Gas, Mike Quinn, and Valley Pacific Petroleum.

And a big thank you to the Fireworks Heroes who donated directly to Mt. Shasta Community Fireworks, and to those who “rounded up” at the register at Ace and Solano’s.

Our board is looking to add a couple of new members. Duties include fundraising, sponsor coordination, planning, and permitting, and these positions may also come with a few perks.

We are already making plans for next year. This show doesn't just happen; it is a community effort. Thank you all!

We hope you all enjoyed our show last night. Here is the awesome crew that made it happen.
