As we wrap up another Independence Day celebration, we want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who helped make this yearโ€™s fireworks show a success. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We know there were understandable concerns leading up to the event, from fire danger and public safety to the impact on wildlife and the temporary restrictions on the water. Those concerns are real, and they were never taken lightly. Every aspect of the event was carefully planned in coordination with our public safety partners to help ensure the celebration was conducted as safely and responsibly as possible. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

One topic that generated significant discussion this year was the temporary boat exclusion zone. While we understand the inconvenience it created, the fallout zone is required by the Office of the State Fire Marshal to protect everyone on the water from burning debris and other hazards associated with the fireworks display. These safety requirements are in place to prevent injuries and ensure the show is conducted safely for everyone, both on the water and on shore.

Weโ€™re grateful to report that the show concluded without incident, with no injuries or safety issues. Thousands of families gathered to celebrate our nationโ€™s birthday while safety remained our highest priority. ๐ŸŽ‡

Thank you to our firefighters, law enforcement, marine patrol, emergency personnel, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who worked behind the scenes to make this event possible. We also appreciate the boaters and spectators who respected the safety zones and helped make the evening a success. โค๏ธ

Community traditions like this only happen through cooperation, planning, and a shared commitment to keeping everyone safe. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. Weโ€™re honored to continue this tradition responsibly and look forward to celebrating with you again next year. ๐ŸŽ†๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We have to thank our pyrotechnic crew that made our fireworks show possible. And a special thank you to the CalFire and Forest Service firefighters that stayed after the show to help clean up and load the truck. An amazing group of people!

Today's the day, and there's lots of work to do at the Lake! We especially want to thank Ray-Mac Mechanical Inc, Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Mt Shasta, and Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort. These three sponsors have been with us for a very long time, and we could not do this show without them!

Please remember, viewing will be available at the Lake Siskiyou Camp Resort beach, along the Lake Siskiyou shoreline, and there should be some good viewpoints from the south end of town. Per our Use Permit with Siskiyou County, North Shore Road is closed all day, and no unauthorized access is allowed.

If you want to listen to tonight's soundtrack that the fireworks have been choreographed too, don't wait until 9:40pm to download the app. Download the PYROCAST App from your App Store now!

We had quite a few questions about the boater map. We've used the map for over 16 years. The California State Fire Marshal regulates professional fireworks, including the required fallout zones. In past years, we've had numerous instances in which the show has been postponed or stopped due to breaches in fallout areas.

To be as transparent as possible, we've updated the map to show the actual fallout area of the fireworks. Without a doubt, being on the lake is the best place to watch the show. Please be mindful of this safety zone, follow the directions of the Siskiyou County Sheriffโ€™s Office boat patrol, who are assisting us in enforcing these requirements, stay safe, and have a wonderful 4th of July!

One more day!!! We would be remiss to not mention our partners, who we rely on to review and approve the 4th of July Fireworks at Lake Siskiyou every year.

We work hand-in-hand with many departments at the County of Siskiyou, including the Flood Control and Water Conservation District, Planning, Public Works, Encroachment, and Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office.

We also partner with CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit, Mount Shasta Fire Department, Mount Shasta Fire District, Mt Shasta Ambulance, and the U.S. Forest Service - Shasta-Trinity National Forest for event permitting, safety, and logistics.

Finally, we are incredibly grateful to CHP - Mount Shasta for their dedication to our local community and coordination for our event to ensure everyone gets home safely. We appreciate you all!
