Caribbean cinema is complex, diverse, and globally relevant. DC Caribbean FilmFest is where it comes into view.

We invite our Gateway Arts District community to join us June 5–11, 2026 at AFI Silver Theatre in recognition of Caribbean Heritage Month.

This festival now in its 24th year has been led by and along with co-presenting partners the Caribbean Association of the World Bank Group and IMF Staff (CAWI), Caribbean Professional Network (CPN), and the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS)— with special thanks to media sponsor WPFW and supporting sponsor DC Caribbean Bar Association.

Now in its 22nd season, NAFF brings the vibrancy of African filmmaking from all corners of the continent and across the diaspora to the Washington, DC, area.
