🥾🌲 It's National Hiking Day! 🌲🥾

Fall is one of the BEST times to hit the trails!

You don't need to travel far to have an adventure. Grab the family, find a local trail or forest preserve, and see what you can discover.

🍂 Look for colorful leaves
🐿️ Watch for wildlife
🐦 Listen for birds
🌳 Identify different trees
📸 Take some nature photos

And remember your Scout outdoor skills:

Leave No Trace. Take only pictures, leave only footprints. 🌎

Where's your family's favorite place to hike?

🐾 Happy World Animal Day! 🐾

Scouting is all about learning to appreciate the world around us — and that includes the amazing animals we share it with!

Today is a great day to:

🐕 Spend time with your pets
🐦 Watch birds in your backyard
🦌 Learn about local wildlife
🐢 Visit a nature center
🐾 Donate supplies to an animal shelter
🌳 Help protect wildlife habitats

Challenge for our Scouts: Find one animal you've never learned about before and teach your family something interesting about it!

What animal would YOU choose? 👇

🎃🍂 Happy National Pumpkin Spice Day! 🍂🎃

Fall is officially here, and we're celebrating one of the best things about the season — getting outside and enjoying it!

Scouts, here's your October challenge:

🍁 Take a fall hike
🎃 Visit a pumpkin patch
🍂 Collect and identify different leaves
🔥 Have a family campfire
📸 Take some pictures of your fall adventures

And, of course… enjoy a little pumpkin spice along the way! 😉

What's your family's favorite thing about fall?

Please support our Scouts at one of our upcoming popcorn booths. See details here> What's Poppin?!

We are fully aware that nobody has ever looked at scout popcorn prices and whispered, “what a bargain.”

The better way to think about it: it’s a donation with popcorn attached.

About 70% of what you pay goes back into scouting - helping support the local council, camps, programs, and the scouts earning their way.

The popcorn is real.
The support is the point.

🌳🥾 Happy National Public Lands Day! 🥾🌳

Our parks, forests, trails, and other public lands give families a place to explore, learn, play, and make memories together.

They're also places we have a responsibility to take care of.

Today, Pack 151 challenges our families to get outside and do one thing to help care for a public space:

🍂 Pick up litter
🌱 Leave plants and wildlife where you find them
🥾 Stay on marked trails
🐦 Watch wildlife from a respectful distance
♻️ Pack out what you pack in

And of course… take some time to enjoy the outdoors!

Leave it better than you found it. 🌎⚜️

🇺🇸 September 11 — A Day of Remembrance & Service 🇺🇸

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of the first responders, service members, volunteers, and ordinary people who stepped forward to help.

One of the most meaningful ways we can remember is by helping others.

Scouts are taught to help other people at all times — and today is a powerful reminder of why that matters.

Take a moment today to do one good deed in your community.

❤️ Help a neighbor.
❤️ Thank a first responder.
❤️ Pick up litter.
❤️ Donate something you no longer need.
❤️ Check on someone who may need a helping hand.

We remember by serving.
