The Moving Wall is a powerful tribute to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. 🇺🇸

It bears the names of 58,267 Americans who gave their lives in service to our nation. Nearly 40,000 were just 22 years old or younger, including 12 who were only 17 and 5 who were just 16.

Behind every name is a story. There are three fathers and sons, 31 families who lost two sons, 997 service members who were killed on their first day in Vietnam, and 1,448 who lost their lives on their last day of service. Of the 244 Medal of Honor recipients from the Vietnam War, 153 are memorialized on the Wall.

As The Moving Wall comes to Monroe County, I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to visit, reflect, and honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who never came home. May we never forget their legacy. ❤

The Moving Wall is coming to Stroudsburg High School: Home of the Mountaineers, courtesy of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 678! The opening ceremony will be held July 10 at 6PM, and the wall will be on display until July 13 at noon. 🌅

This is a great opportunity for the community to learn about the war in Vietnam and the impact it has had on our nation and our veterans! ❤

The Monroe County July 4th 250th Anniversary Parade was held today in Stroudsburg, featuring the Monroe County Joint Veterans Honor Guard and the American Legion Post 903 with Sons & Auxiliary, alongside Senator Rosemary Brown.
