With a background in history, law, and historic preservation, Brian brings a unique perspective to the challenges facing the Lowcountry—from sea level rise and development to tourism and the preservation of Charleston’s character.

This is a conversation about leadership, preservation, and how communities decide what matters enough to protect.

You never know when you might be in a position to save a life.
LENS Foundation Isle of Palms, WakeUp Carolina, and the City of Isle of Palms are teaming up for a FREE Narcan Training — built for teens, students, and families getting ready for the school year ahead.
📅 Monday, August 10
🕕 6:00 PM
📍 IOP Rec Center — 24 28th Ave, Isle of Palms
Whether your student is starting high school, heading back to campus, or leaving for college this fall, this is a skill worth having before they go.

This training is for ages 15+, and participants will:

✅ Learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose
✅ Learn how and when to administer Narcan
✅ Take home a FREE Narcan kit

Did you know? If a teen finds someone showing signs of a fentanyl overdose, a dose of Narcan can save their life — and if they don't need it, it can't hurt them.

Education saves lives. Preparation saves lives.
No RSVP needed — just show up. Bring your teen, bring a friend, bring your roommate-to-be. One skill could make all the difference.
