Texas farmers and ranchers can temporarily use dyed diesel on public roads following a statewide disaster declaration by Gov. Greg Abbott.

The declaration also allows fuel, agricultural and timber loads to operate at a gross weight of up to 95,000 pounds.

Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening said the changes will help reduce costs as farmers and ranchers face high fuel prices and other production expenses.

Congratulations to our Rural Veterinary Scholarship recipients!

The $20,000 scholarships are for second-year and third-year veterinary students who plan to enter a rural and/or food animal practice in Texas after graduation.

Congratulations to 3 of Titus County Farm Bureau’s own, Skye Klepzig, John Tracy Branch and Gunner Rodgers!

These 3 individuals, along with Karlee Rodgers, were also recently awarded The Titus County Farm Bureau John Denman Memorial Scholarship.

We are so thrilled to have been able to support these hard working kids, and honored to have had the opportunity to watch them over the years, grow into the wonderful young men and women they are today.
